OnePlus 8T launch set for October 14 and here’s how much the smartphone could be priced.
OnePlus 8T is ready to launch on October 14, the corporate confirmed earlier in the week. before the launch tons of details about the smartphone have surfaced online including the worth also like all the key specifications. There are several new reports revealing the small print of the upcoming OnePlus 8T so let’s take them one by one.
First, what’s confirmed?
Before getting to the leaks and rumours let’s realize what OnePlus has confirmed about the OnePlus 8T thus far. Besides the launch date, the corporate has revealed that the OnePlus 8T will sport a display with a 120hz refresh rate. OnePlus has also revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 8T is going to be a strong device and ready to offer a smooth performance to the purchasers. The screen size, cameras and other details are yet to be confirmed by the corporate.
What rumours say?
According to a report coming from TechRadar, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that the 8T will offer a screen-to-body ratio of 91.9 percent which is relatively above the OnePlus 8 Pro that gives 90.8 percent screen-to-body-ratio. The report further states that the OnePlus 8T screen can hit 1,100 nits which is slight quite the OnePlus 7T’s 1000nits.
What about the OnePlus 8T specs
OnePlus is yet to verify the specifications of the OnePlus 8T but a report coming from Android Central revealed some crucial details about the device. As per the report, the phone will come full of, Snapdragon 865+ processor, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and quad rear cameras including 48MP primary lens paired with 16MP + 5MP + 2MP.
The Chinese phone maker also teased 65W fast charging, which has now been confirmed in a post on OnePlus Forums.
OnePlus’ 65W fast charging is called Warp Charge 65, which OnePlus says will provide 8T “a day’s power in 15 minutes”. To be more precise, it will charge the 8T’s 4,500 mAh battery from flat to “almost 58%” in 15 minutes, and 100% in 39 minutes.
To realize those speeds, the OnePlus 8T won’t pack one 4,500 mAh battery. it’ll accompany two cells of two,250 mAh each for faster charging. That’s a few surprises, though, since other smartphones with 65W charging support just like the Oppo Find X2 Pro, Realme 7 Pro, and therefore the Realme Narzo 20 Pro also packs dual cells.
That said OnePlus’ above power adapters that came with a USB-A port, the Warp Charge 65 Power Adapter for the 8T will feature a USB-C port and can support up to 45W charging via USB PD, meaning you’ll even use it to charge compatible laptops and other devices. it is also backward compatible, so you’ll use it to charge your old OnePlus smartphones also.
For safety and security, OnePlus has added an encryption chip to the adapter and so the cable and 12 temperature sensors within the 8T for intelligent and efficient charging. Moreover, the corporate also added a replacement cooling system to the OnePlus 8T to stop it from overheating when charging.
While the 8T will charge faster than the 8 Pro and be the enterprise fastest charging a smartphone, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau in an interview with PCMag said it won’t support wireless charging, because “implementing the coil component needed for wireless charging would increase the phone’s thickness”, which the corporate feels “would impact the general design and user experience”.
We are still over a fortnight faraway from the OnePlus 8T’s unveiling, so expect OnePlus to reveal more about it to create the hype.
What might be the price?
In addition, leaks Ishan Agarwal has revealed the Amazon specs and sheet of the OnePlus 8T that also includes the pricing. The Amazon listing goes in line with other leaks and states that the OnePlus 8T will sport Snapdragon 865+ processor. Other specs stated by the e-commerce giant are 6.5-inch FHD+ display, 120hz refresh rate, 4500mAh battery, 65W Warp Charge, 48MP quad rear cameras, and 16MP front camera.
The Amazon listing shows that the OnePlus 8T is going to be available in two colours: Aquamarine green and Lunar silver. The OnePlus 8T is claimed to be available in two variants 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at 599 Euros (around Rs 51,000) and 699 Euros (around Rs 60,000).
No OnePlus 8T Pro?
TechRadar has also revealed that the corporate is looking to skip the professional version this point. OnePlus has usually launched two smartphones under the T series but this point we could only see OnePlus 8T and no 8T Pro. Possibly, that’s the rationale why the corporate is adding 120hz refresh rate to the 8T.
